Just finished soldering my CRAMPS2.1 board.

Just finished soldering my CRAMPS2.1 board. Really stoked to wire this thing up and make it drive something. This was my first full board build and first time with surface mount. Kinda excited to see if it turns on. Took just over 4 hours start to finish.

@Charles_Steinkuehler @Len_Shelton

Where did you get you BBB from? Did you get it before they went out of stock?

How did you find the resistors? I’ve done chips before with the drag method and found it pretty easy Tbh, but those resistors look so fiddly!

Great job! I got my CRAMPS kit last week, my RevC BBB day before yesterday, and fried my Azteeg X1 last night :-/ no time like the present… BTW I ordered Rev C from Sparkfun on April 18th, so a full 2 months to come in stock and get through the backorder queue.

I ordered mine through adafruit. They list them in stock. Haven’t gotten it yet. But I have a rev b anyway

The resistors weren’t bad. Once I watched a YouTube video on how to do it it was super easy. I wouldn’t hesitate to build another.

Let us know if it checks out. Latest post at http://designmakeshare.WordPress.com should help.

Looks like a great job, especially for your first SMT board! Holler if you have any problems getting it working.

Thanks Charles! I’m hoping to come up to the machinekit conference with Len and have this thing running at least the mock up of my coreXY machine.
