Just launched a 3D printing materials company, @3Dom_USA , that is eco-friendly and focused on quality. We put the filament specs for every spool right on the box! More info here: http://www.3domusa.com/filament-quality/
Any samples available?
Yep! Just have to pay shipping: http://www.3domusa.com/shop/free-3d-filament-sample/
Please provide details on what each plastic actually is, e.g. ABS can vary wildly depending on formulation (MG94 is really good IMO).
$10 shipping for a free sample seems a bit much
@Doug_Rector , where are you located? There should be a ~$2 USPS package shipping option for the sample.
@John_Schneider New York
Hmm, I’m showing a $2.07 USPS First Class Mail option for New York City.
It looks like the default shipping is $10 until you put in your state/zip. Then it shows the more accurate shipping cost. I got $3.02 to Northwest Ohio.
@lynnroth Ahhhh, OK, I know what’s going on. I’ll change that so that the default shipping cost will stop scaring people away! Thanks for the heads up!
@John_Schneider Yes when I went thru the steps it became 2.07 - Eagerly awaiting it
Just about to order some. Is it Ok if I ask for a sample of more than one? Kinda curious in the biome but also want the pla as I know it well
Yep, go ahead and put a note in the order notes section when you order!
Thanks!
@John_Schneider - I’m a graduate student studying bio-based materials for 3D printing. Would you mind if I dropped you an email to pick your brain about your business?
@John_Schneider good luck man!
I second the comment about disclosing the materials. ie: I know Ingeo is a brand of NatureWorks and 4043D is a popular resin that works well, so if this is the case you should definitely say so.
And please do tell us what Biome is…
