Just looking at the last updates of this Kickstarter project to recycle plastic and make your own filament.

Any thoughts, experience or similar products known?

I beta tested the filastruder. It works as advertised: I am quite happy with it.

I believe that they are filling their kickstarter commitments first, and then will begin selling filastruders through
http://osprintingllc.com/

It differs from the filabot in that it exists, and in that it requires pelletized plastic - it does not grind up plastic.

Wow the filastruder looks awesome! I’m considering buying one now.

Thanks for sharing, and I am glad I asked!

Will wait until the campaign ends

Personally i like the one with a part-recycle-cut-my-thingy-up kinda fillament maker.

How many prints do you print before getting to the final product? This way you can re-use all that plastic!

That’s a good point. Provided you don’t mix plastic so you know what temperature to apply for extruding
Filastruder seems cleaner and it is already a finished product. Maybe any grinding system would work as an addon

Indeed. Just had a look at their kickstarter. Without grinder is 590 dollars and with is about 1200 dollars
