Just picked up a roll of Inland brand PETG from microcenter as I liked the color. Any tips with printing it? I don’t have a heated bed on the current printer but my new build will. Do I need to wait to try it? Any print temp suggestions?
Yeah. 60-90 degrees on the bed with hairspray. Print at 45mm/sec with extruder at 260 degrees.
Could try blue tape and hairspray with the unheated bed.
The PET I have says it can be printed on blue tape, but I’ve been printing on a heated bed. Without the heat I did see it curl and literally lift the tape. This is without even having the fan going. Although ambient room temp was low 70’s. So that probably didn’t help.
I had the tape lifting problem when I used blue tape with PLA. I think I’ll hold off until I have the new build with heated bed ready. I love the magenta color and the price of 18.99 was killer.
White tape resists curling better than blue, try the 3M #2020. 2" rolls are pretty cheap at Home Depot.
I print it at 230c and 65c at 75mm/s with great success… After I measured the diameter and dropped flow rate.
