Just received a spool of t-glase to try. Aside from printing real sloooow the taulman site info says nothing about cooling. Would a cooling strategy like PLA be advised or none as in ABS ?

Speaking of ABS will it bond with t-glase ? I was wondering about printing a piece with a ‘window’ in it.

Been thinking about other mixed material prints and wonder if there is a reference anywhere about what sticks to what ! Possibilities abound such as ABS protective covers with a gasket of NinjaFlex printed in …

Cooling doesn’t seem to hurt it as much as ABS, but it’s probably not as beneficial as for PLA.

Abs and tglase sort of bond, you can peel one from the other but they stick well enough when hot. Check your tglase to make sure it’s round, I have a roll that is very oval in places.

@Tim_Rastall I make a wheel encoder cover for a client out of ABS. Was thinking to print it with a window so one could observe the LED activity/diagnostic LEDs without disassembly. Sounds like it might work. A good case for a Kracken would be that plus a sealing gasket of NinjaFlex all in one print.

Yeah, that should be doable, I’d create a mechanical joint between the tglase and ABS.

@Tim_Rastall I was thinking about that but I only have a single extruder on my Mendel90. Plan was to leave a cavity in the wall of the t-glase part top, switch to ABS and fill in and continue up to the gasket surface and repeat with NinjaFlex. 10 of those would buy a Kracken and all additional parts !
