Just received my Printrbot simple 2014, getting ready to build the kit… any surprises I should know about??
Any tips anyone else knows for this model?
Take a look at the builder’s comments on the instructions for the 2013 model, some of them are gold and also apply to the 2014 version
I’ve been reading them, just want to see if there is anything that hasn’t been said on there yet
Mine is more the 2012 model, most of my comments have probably been obviated

Read the building instructions a few times before starting, take your time. Its pretty easy if you are handy. Did mine like the 2nd week of January, took me about 3h in small steps of 15-20m at a time (I have kids so spending a straight 3h on my projects is impossible!)
Spent a good 5 hours constructing it today, only goofed twice -
One minor - zip ties on wrong side of bearings (easy fix as I have some of those ties on hand already)
One major… I cut the line to short
Got some 113lb line from Walmart, but I need to get it tighter - to much slippage on the X axis, but it does print
Over all not to bad I would think for first time… only build injury is a small blister from cutting the laser cut wood apart
