Just received our new mold injected hotend socks :)

Just received our new mold injected hotend socks

Looks pretty damn good. Are black/grey/red options that people will have?

Where the mass production mold will be made?

@ThantiK I think we’ll stick with red as we don’t think people actually prefer colors. The samples were different colors to differentiate hardness. If users actually, really, want to customize it… we can do that.

Remember to PID-tune your hotend after installing the sock, heat dissipation is quite different.

I like the idea of the red, because it should be clear to people that it’s a HOT part of the machine. Honestly, even though E3D’s “color” is blue…I think their socks should be red as well for this reason.

Yes our plan was to make them red from the beginning for that exact reason

@Mikko_Kangas No need to re-tune the hotend just from the addition of the sock.

Where to get this beaty in europe, @Shai_Schechter ?

@Rene_Jurack Only available on our website http://deltaprintr.com for the time being. Working on getting distributors.

@Ashley_Webster You can run on 24V by adjusting the PMW parameter to 64 instead of 256. Works well for me for the last 3 months…

Thats pretty useful!!its just amazing …

@Shai_Schechter O’Really? So if you add insulation to your hotend, it does not affect how fast it heats or cools? Interesting.

I blow on my hotends (at least partially) with the cooling fan and isolating it from that airflow does indeed influence the PID-Settings. I do think, that this also happens with isolating it only, but maybe you don’t notice it because it is only a minimal change?!

Whats this?
