Reminds me of a Dyson fan. Looks very cool.
Very nicely done.
Throw in an MSGEQ7 and you could have quite a show there.
Really nice design. Looks great!
Elegant! Hope that’s what you were trying to achieve! I’d buy one, or plans, or custom PCB. Really nice.
UPDATE:
just got the thing working with a Serial BT-Module
http://www.seeedstudio.com/depot/grove-serial-bluetooth-p-795.html?cPath=139_142
Had two problems: usually I use Software_Serial on my Arduinos. With the Teensy it didn’t work. No clue why. Switched over to HW Serial2 (pin 9 and 10) - and here we go!
Next problem was that I got flashy artifacts in the animations. Solution: went from 48MHz to 48MHz optimized (or higher) - and here we go again
Next step: MSGEQ7s
Has anyone suggestions for implementing the ESP8266 as serial ?
Fantastic ! Can you share the code please. Have you some photo of the step fo the building.
Go to a home center and buy a LED lamp you like. Then replace the LED strip with a APA102 or WS2812 strip 114 LEDs/m
The code can be found in the library (DemoReel100) and here http://funkboxing.com/wordpress/?p=1761
thanks for the link.Have you a reference for the ring lamp please.
sorry, this ring lamp was discontinued.
ok I’ll try to reproduce a wooden version similar to yours.
@Jerome_BARBEL just an idea - if you put the light diffusor on the outside you could use a bicycle rim …
https://www.zweiradnetz.de/filter/felgen/?custom_f_84[0]=3136205a6f6c6c
With the 16" version you need a diffuser strip of opaque plastic 20mm wide and 1276mm long
thanks for the tips, but i want to have the light inside.
@Juergen_Bruegl This is FANTASTIC! Can’t stop watching… I think i have to do something like this
Can you please share the code whit me? I’m wondering, is it possibe to use an ESP8266 or a BT to control form a phone?
@David_Kovacs you can find many animations here:
it INCLUDES Bluetooth and an app
The rest is mainly from DemoReel
It also works nicely on ESP8266
