Just uploaded the full build video for my Bluetooth speaker with integrated LED matrix. The matrix is controlled using FastLED code based on a bunch of different projects that people on this board have shared. Thanks to everyone in this community for making this build possible!
Congrats on a great build and video! I’ve had something similar on my todo list for a long time. This is very inspiring, thanks for sharing!
@Jason_Coon Thanks! Can’t wait to see what you come up with! You’ll probably recognize some of the FastLED patterns in this video
Such a great build Mike. Thanks for sharing the video.
@marmil Thanks! It really wouldn’t have been possible without this community!
Definitely interesting!
This is very cool. Would love to see more details on it.
In-progress code is here: https://github.com/modustrialmaker/Audio-Reactive-LED-Matrix
I’m also trying to plan a YouTube live Q&A for the electronics and code. If you were to join that would be awesome, since your coding skills are far beyond mine
And, I’m putting together an instructable as we speak. It will be up on Monday.
You can be rest assured, my coding skills are not very good (and at 62 yo, they won’t get better). My only saving grace is that I’ve spent time reading up on some of the awesome functions in FastLED (such as palettes, palette blending, scheduling with EVERY_N_MILLISECONDS, beats, noise, blend, lerp, fade, fast math, power management, etc), and just try and munge them together.
