Here are some picture of my almost finished CNC machine .

Work done this weekend

  • Mounted laser (for cutting and engraving)
  • Cut and mounted an acrylic terminal wire guard
  • Increased the z axis by 25mm
  • Mounted spindle

To do this week

  • clean up wiring some more
  • wire laser to power supply and shield
  • mount USB boroscope camera
  • mount USB Web camera
  • mount cross hair laser
  • mount limit switches
  • design and cut dust shoe
  • wire electronics in enclosure

P.S Had all working, but pulled it down to add some more upgrades

What laser did you use? Does it come with the housing and the fan?

Yes fan and housing are included, its a 800mw with TTL from eBay

Looks very similar to the Shapoko II

I think it is a shaapeoko II with a better waste board and a laser head.
