Just wrapped up an led art install project using a TON of 3d printed parts, 3d printed led panels (utilizing some custom 10x10 APA102 pcb’s - Thanks @Steve_French !) teensy’s, fastLED 3.1, custom 3d printed enclosure, with animations driven from my favorite piece of software ever, Touch Designer.

WOW impressive !!!

What JP said!
Wow, how many hours of printing was that? That’s great being too create separate parts and assemble into a good sized display. Nice design.

The panels took a couple weeks of casual printing, as I was assembling as I went, but for the connectors like a week straight at the end.

I essentially arranged the 3d panels in a way that looked interesting, then modeled the connectors around the lay out. A lot can be done with even squares

@Lucas_Morgan I just love to see RGB LEDs in something other than a 2D panel. That manufacturing job is awesome.

Just had a very quick first peek into that Touch Designer application and wondering how you create animations with it and then get it going with FastLED !?

@JP_Roy , check out this link, I put together a post that outlines the bare bones setup of what I used here:

@Lucas_Morgan Crazy cool!

Very nice! I can’t wait till I see the higher density version of this all made from triangles…hmmm this gives me an idea :wink:
