Large Luxo Jr
I wanted to make a full size Luxo lamp and thought it would be as simple as scaling up of one of the existing lamps on Thingiverse but I was very very wrong In the end I had to recreate all the parts from scratch to increase the resolution and tighten up the tolerances, plus I also had to alter the design slightly so the lamp was able to support its own weight.
Anyway its all done now so I thought I would share:
@Daniel_Bull I print a lot of UV reactive filament. Started out using UV LEDs and florescent blacklight tube on my printer, but both seem to weaken intensity after only a couple months. Almost no UV light at all.
But I started using high intensity 5mm blue LEDs for another project and found that even though the blue light is more intense, it does make UV filament glow in close proximity.
In the end I had to recreate all the parts from scratch to increase the resolution and tighten up the tolerances, plus I also had to alter the design slightly so the lamp was able to support its own weight.
