Last night at midnight the @Motorola_Mobility 360 went on sale for ~$250. I was stoked and ready to buy. This morning I watched a teaser-video of the new wearable and was floored to see Makerbot prominently displayed :stuck_out_tongue:

With all the controversy surrounding @MakerBot & @Stratasys why would Moto risk alienating anyone?!

Possible answer: We’re all sheep. BAAA! I still want one but I’m going to wait. My little act of protest, but it’s something.

Prominently? You can’t see the logo, the only people who will even recognize it are people that already know what’s going on in the 3D printing world. Everyone else will just see some strange black box moving around.

@Daniel_ShadowDrakken Yes, prominently. The logo is clearly visible (look again) and I’m talking about people that WOULD recognize it. I did, quite easily (and I’ve never owned one).

All I’m saying is that when you’re introducing something new, try not to alienate potential consumers from the start.

Pssst. We’re a vanishingly small percentage of the population. (The printers) most people don’t have the vitriol for Makerbot we do.

I was thinking about the moto360 when I saw posts about them this morning, but after i read several reviews talking about the less than 1 day battery life I got turned off, I will wait until they can do more than 24 hours. I like your protest though, not a fan of makerbot these days UP Plus 2 or nothing!

@Mike_Miller as true and humbling as that is it remains to wonder if Google/Motorola is choosing MB or it was their Ad Agency’s decision.

@james_wolf as much as it pains-me to say, I’ll lurk from afar (@xda-developers primarily) until specs improve.

@Alannah_Hodge you know it! It’s the current choice for me.

I was very interested in the Moto 360, but when I read the review that it gets about 12 hours of battery life it fell off my Christmas list. I hope they come up with something better soon.
