Last time I made a R/C car out of a copter. But the gear set was from other toys. So I made my own gear set and printed it out with 3D printer. The noise is a problem now. Any thoughts on it?

good info ^
Also note the profile comment they made. depending on how the gear profile was created it may not be a true or optimal tooth profile. I use Solidworks professionally and they have a tool box of parts that can be generated. they look nice and function all enough in the model but the gears are not a true involute profile. I ave not tried to print them yet but i suspect they may suffer the same problems.
@Bryan_Barnes_BBmech7 Thanks Bryan. It really helps. Plastic gears could have such problems. I’m considering how to improve the design. Great info : )
Helical gears reduse a lot of noise. On Rc helis they use them also a lot
