Which begs the question: How does Slic3r determine how much support material to generate? This is thing 33138 and it seems like there’s a LOT of additional support compared to the final print…
I hope that’s just camera stabilization causing the end effector to look like that. Looks like it’s rocking terribly.
Also, you may want to look at the support material tab. If you’re not in advanced mode, you really should be (imho). I don’t even know why there’s a “simple mode”…
It is rocking terribly. I think it’s drag on the universal joints. Now that I have a 3d printer, I’ll probably look into printing the original Delta joints.
It didn’t really start making recognizeable prints until I slowed things down enough to reduce the rocking. Under heavy acceleration, the nozzle would lift high enough that the filament wouldn’t stick to the glass.
Oh, and Elmer’s gluestick FTW! Now I can leave the bed in place, scrape it, stick it, and print the next thing.
