“LEANING TOWER OF MAKERBOT”!
? …
(Print: Pac-Man ghost.)
MakerBot Replicator 5th Gen is printing slanted (in the negative x direction). I’ve read that “drift is always a mechanical thing, usually a belt, or a loose X motor wire or endstop switch/wire (if drift is in the X)”(http://3dprintboard.com/showthread.php?4847-XY-Plane-Drift-Problem-MakerBot-Replicator-5th-Gen). I also found a MakerBot YouTube on adjusting the x-axis pulley tension, but on the Replicator 2 (https://youtu.be/fV4BFUdVx4U) - perhaps the 5G is similar. Anyhow, any info, links, suggestions, experience/insights, etc., would be much appreciated. TIA.
P.S. FYI, I was informed that a “cone-shape” spring was found in the MB box upon opening. Perhaps it is related to the problem(?). Unfortunately, the spring has since been “misplaced”.
