one small suggestion for your fire effect – I modified the example ones to sometimes spread fire sideways at the base. It makes the whole thing look a little more coherent rather than N separate vertical flame tubes. if that makes sense.
I can only hope that I find enough time to work on as many software effects as you’ve done 
The software has been a long time in the making across a number of projects.
I see what you mean about the fire. Too late now I think, but we’ll see how I go for v1.1 ;-).
Incidentally, the weigh-in with my luggage scale says 2kg neat. Plus another 1.3kg of batteries, and it’s not as bad as I thought.

Are we going to try and schedule an official FastLED meetup on the playa one night? I remember there is one camp full of xbee-connected light-up dudes around the 4pm side on the esplanade who hosted a led-nerd meetup. Pyramidiacs or something?
Or will we just not be able to miss each other anyhow?

Well, our bar at AbsoFuckinLution (8:45 & C) will be open until 8pm every evening, we can meet up there and then parade out via the 9 o’clock keyhole. I like Wednesday night.
Im down for a FastLED meetup for sure. I’ll have a small army of headless stickmen with me
