But do they require Cypress’ crazy expensive toolchain? I try and avoid that company like the plague…

You can download PSoC creator, the bootloader for free. And the IDE just makes arduino’s ide looking obsolete obviously. You just need to register on the website and voilà :wink: The chip is a cortex-M0 the LM4F120 is a cortex M4 with the DSP features looks great for the money too.
