Looking for a good ABS plastic supplier in the USA.

Looking for a good ABS plastic supplier in the USA. I want USA made filament. No imports. Any suggestions?

Other than cutting out the jingoistic BS? Nope, no suggestions. All the good filament that I know the origin of is imported.

Sorry only imports i know of.

You may as well just buy straight from china as they are busy buying up all the US companies anyway.

Tim Rastall, screw China and their financial war on the USA. I will not support them.

Ultimachine makes a point of saying that their PLA is entirely made within the USA, but doesn’t mention their ABS. I’d say contact them to find out for sure first.

The USA is waging financial war on itself.

Corporate greed kills alot. American pride can help save the country if the customers insist on American made goods and the corporations cooperate. One thing that is nice about do-it-yourself stuff like assembling a 3d printer or doing 3d printing is that you can be damned sure it was made in the USA. It also takes money out of the hands of the greedy corporations.

@NathanielStenzel admirable effort, please look on the back of every device you presently own. I am sure it will say made in china or imported. I understand your effort for trying to be patriotic but sorry too late the train has already left. If you buy it in the USA you are just adding to the list of middlemen . If you buy it directly from China you just saved yourself money and cut out an unnecessary middleman.

Its your choice

FYI USA debt is $14.3 trillion dollars :

China owns 8% of that or $1.2 trillion; Japan, which owns $912 billion; the United Kingdom, which owns $347 billion; Brazil, which holds $211 billion; Taiwan, which holds $153 billion; and Hong Kong, which owns $122 billion

Everyone owns debt in everyone. People tend to forget that. You owe your bank $10,000 for your car, the bank owes you $5,000 for your checking account.

@Daniel_Joyce the interest on the US public debt is $2 billion per day. http://www.brillig.com/debt_clock/

Well aware of US debt. But countries all over the world own debt (bonds) in each other, so nothing unusual about that. Also, a large part of US debt is owned by other branches of the US govt. Thus the crazy idea of the US mint creating a 1 trillion dollar coin, and depositing it in the fed reserve.

After my researcher of looking to buy pellets for extruding, as far as i can tell China is buying the pellets from the US and then reselling them. I have yet to track down where in the US that is tho.

You likely won’t be able to buy anything less than a ‘gaylord’ worth of pellets from a US manufacturer. You might be able to find a injection molder who will scoop you a few pounds.

I spose that is why China is able to sell small quantities because they have a ‘gaylord’ size holder and the $ to buy it.
