Yep. As far as I know, the ReMix is the only board that does “out of the box” 6-steppers with smoothieware. I have it build in, it currently controls the prototype of my upcomming printer…
Ok that is interesting. I really have 0 knowledge on smoothie. Is the smoothie web interface suppose to replace octoprint?
It is much more basic. You can upload gcode to it and hit run and keep any eye on temps and such. That’s for Ethernet. The wifi on this board is experimental and works as a basic serial bridge - you stream gcode to it from a host program such as Pronterface. I would keep a pi running octoprint as the host of choice to talk to this board.
The duetwifi is back in stock. I ordered one this week.
Well by default duet wifi only have 5 channel and I need to get the expansion board (2 channel duex2). This thing is very expensive… i don’t know how TMC2660 perform compared to 2100 it appear to be able to handle higher amp only which I don’t really need at the moment
Just one word of caution for Smoothie. It doesn’t support mixing nozzles as yet. So if you’re planning to add a diamond nozzle - you will basically get only three colours and won’t be able to mix colours
True. But XYZ ABC motion has been making progress and I will have to see if we can
- Get ABC to move at the same time
- Get a Slicer to address the gCode as such (or post process it).

I would go for the Duet Wifi, if only for the support. Absolutely great, it really is.
