Looking for some help regarding stringing.

Looking for some help regarding stringing. I had an original V6 hotend that came with my original Prusa i3 MK2S and everything was working perfectly. I ran into a bit of an issue with a blob that ripped the wires off of my hotend so i got a whole new unit. And ever since ive had nothing but issues with stringing. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

I’m having a similar problem after changing my nozzle. I think most of my trouble is old filament though since I didn’t print anything for 2 months. Newer filament still strings slightly, but not as bad as the older stuff. I tried varying my temp from 215 down to 165 and the problem persisted using older filament. Last night I printed a large box using new filament and the stringing problem, while still there, was much better than when using the old stuff.

I bought this roll a week ago lol. Its been like this for months ive been trying to get it to go away but its not working :confused:

Did you retune your hotend PID? Not all thermistors are created equally.

Have you pid tuned the new hot end?

@Adam_Steinmark beat me to it.

Yeup like 3 times just to be sure

Did you use M303 or did you run it through the calibration menu?

Calibration menu

Huh that’s weird. You’re sure you tuned the hotend and not the bed? I know it’s a stupid question but we all make stupid mistakes from time to time, me included.

Yeah the temp was fluctuating 4 to 5 degrees at first after PID calibration it went down to ±0.1 degrees
