Looks like Simplify3D just bumped the version up to 3.0 - Includes a faster slicing engine, “ooze shields” for multi extrusion, etc. Fantastic stuff!

I can’t really give this slicer enough praise. We bought it at work and we won’t use anything else except for getting default profiles for our customers to load. Of course…this new version added a DeltaMaker preset too though!

Got it updated a few hours ago. Pretty happy so far, can’t wait to get my dual extruder machine up and running again (currently rebuilding it) so I can play around with the pillars and ooze shield.
I was actually pretty happy with the experimental builds of slic3r but obviously these new features speak for themselves.

I love this program. Thanks for the heads up. Going there now!

Every list I see of new S3D features is made up entirely of things that I recognize from other slicers…

@Whosa_whatsis it’s not about who did it first, it’s about who does it best

I like this software a lot too. I experiment with everything else too, but I keep coming back to S3D for most things. They’ve fixed a couple major beefs that had me looking elsewhere for certain things, but everything else seems to be missing something I like about S3D, so I’m glad they addressed the issues.

Still no demo?
