Lulzbot looks like they’re interested in making a DLP 3D printer. I’d love to see what came out of their camp for this.

What ever happened to Rostock’s Droplit kit? Looks like they still have it on their site but it seemed like it was still sort of in development when they released it and they haven’t done much with it.

@Adam_Steinmark you mean SeeMeCNC? They still sell it…but, they didn’t like how it turned out.

I think I’m one of the few who got it to work ok. I know Gene did as well.

They redesigned it, and now have the 2.0 version out.

@ThantiK Yes sorry I guess I mixed up their delta model with the brand name.
@William_Steele How’s the print quality compared to the Formlabs printers?

Doesn’t compare… different technology (laser vs DLP… and 1/10th the price.)

There are some DLP printers that work well like the Morpheus and MoonRay out of crowdfunding. I’m not sure they’re as precise as the Form 2, but still.

Would love to see more options for DLP software! FWIW, I’m not sure Lulzbot should do a DLP resin printer. It would diversify them a bit more in the printer arena, but there are already a fair amount of resin printers available…

@Shane_Graber , You still need to come to Cincy and see mine. It’s unlike anything you’ve ever seen before!

LOL yeah @William_Steele , we talked about this at MRRF last year. I’d love to see it, but I rarely get down to the Cincy area. Would love to see pictures or video!
