LulzBot Mini Self-Levelling 3D Printer Launches At CES 2015 (video)

That’s pretty clever. I really need to drive to their HQ and chat with these guys

I’ve got one of the prototype ones, and I must say, it works fantastically well. Plus, the heated bed has PEI on it which I haven’t had any issues with at all.

You pee’d on your print bed?

Erm, no, polyetherimide.

A MakerBot ad an the end of a lulzbot announcement… Weird.

I saw the mini at CES… Neat printer. Great company. Nice people!

Price point?

@Sebastien_Dicaire $1,350.00 USD according to https://www.lulzbot.com/introducing-lulzbot-mini

I like lulzbots printers but damn they’re expensive

I like how they implement community ideas into expensive printers :expressionless: but can’t hold it against them! They’re really helping the promotion of 3d printer tech with very reliable products! If I weren’t a tinkerer (aka low resources :wink: ) this is what I’d have!

@Adrian_Ciubotariu I mean to a degree yes, but they’re also completely open source, so they give back to the community just the same.

I can’t fault them for the price point, I just wish I could have afforded one!

They are establishing a valid niche around tremendous openness and print quality. They have a bit of a geeky look but it’s working so far :wink:
