Made a new 2 into 1 hotend with airbrush nozzle.

What does the cross section of the hotend look like? How big is each channel leading to the nozzle?

That’s some serious ingenuity. I’m not sure what the benefits are though? Does it allow bigger prints? Or mixing resins? I’m a complete noob when it comes to 3D printing.

@aeth_aeth
5mm long 1mm channels that meet like a Y in the nozzle

@John_Kelleher
Dual color.

Those will be some interesting prints!

Is that tinfoil around your extruder?

@Rien_Stouten
No, all metal DIY.

oh, sorry, didn’t mean to offend.

@Jan_erik_Halvorsen Did you encounter any clogging problems yet due to backpressure? My cyclops has similar channels and I have trouble printing both filaments and the same time. One always pushes the other up the heatbreak. The diamond hotend doesn’t have this problem due to its tiny 0.4mm channels leading to the nozzle.

The channels going diagonally like in your Design probably helps instead of rectangular like the cyclops.
