Making progress on the update to duel motors on the x axis.
Everything is just clamped in place at the moment.
Once I’ve sorted the electronics to run x axis signals through two drivers I should be able to drive a few tests back and fourth to check alignment before fixing things in place properly.
I’m now using delrin anti backlash nuts, can’t wait to be able to try it out and see how she performs with the upgrade 
hopefully I’ll get as far as a test run tomorrow.
@Peter_Fouche1 my plan is just to route the same step/dir signals into two different driver boards. I’m using sparkfun easy drivers so it wasn’t a big deal to get a fourth.
The tricky thing is that I didn’t think I’d need four when I set up my current board layout, so I’ve not quite figured out yet how I’m going to fit in the new driver.
But that is a problem for tomorrow

You could make sleeves stand offs to fit your new drive on top of your old one. Something like this
Some stripped wire insulation, or maybe steel automotive brake line would be OK as thin tubing.
