Man I am so noob at this. Need to redo the hex nut size.

Man I am so noob at this. Need to redo the hex nut size.

Could just drill it out

For prints I add .2 to all my hole sizes usaly most things fit then.

I did add 0.2 mm to the hex nut size. But I mis-measured my hex nut size. The diameter of an m6 hex nut is 11.2.

Hmm that is another idea. I already have my improved plate printing though. I am glad I bought this printrbot simple metal. I would have waste a lot of aluminum otherwise.

The bottom is heated so it looks super smooth.

Sigh. Third time is not a charm, still doesn’t fit. :frowning: Sad panda.

I usually add a “tol” variable in Inventor and specify all my holes and “pockets” as “actual dimension+tol”. That tol dimension usually ends up being the diameter of the nozzle doing the printing and the results are fairly accurate.

So for me that’s usually 0.4mm for my stock E3Dv6s.

Need to switch over to a larger 0.6mm nozzle for faster printing? Just change that parameter and the entire model will regenerate.
