Managed to do another gnome test print last night at the normal size.

Managed to do another gnome test print last night at the normal size.

The results seem better but the nozzle still seems to be over extruding in parts.

I’ll have to tweak the settings a bit when I get back from work tonight.

Have you calibrated your e steps yet using a solid calibration cube? I’m still having issues as well. I seen to be consistent during prints, but seem to be tweaking my extrusion multiplier every few prints. I got a feeling I got a hardware issue…

Not with this new nozzle. I was having issues with extruded plastic sticking to the heat bed.

Now that’s sorted I’ll recalibrate the steps tonight :slight_smile:

Looking much better. :slight_smile:

@ThantiK printing it full sized and slowing the print down helped.

I’ll tweak the e steps next :slight_smile:

I’ve had over/under extrusion-like issues just changing filament. My first thought was that it was all about deviations in filament diameter, but the measurements didn’t prove that out (although I could just be doing it wrong :slight_smile:

In my case it seems like the color (or rather, the opacity) was related, in that solid colors tended to over-extrude and translucent colors were under (this is all with PLA).

Not sure if that could be a factor in your case, but if you have other filament it might be interesting to try it and see if there’s any difference.

@Jason_Gullickson that’s an interesting thought.

I’ve tweaked the e steps and was about to swap out the filament :).

I’ll do another gnome in black to test that out

@Jason_Gullickson yeah, I noticed a huge difference between clear and white PLA. White needed higher temps. Now I’ve got an order of barbie pink coming. Proto paradigm can’t seems to keep more manly colors in stock
