Many thanks to @Alex_Skoruppa , the #AX-02 is now running SD5984 drivers… oh so quiet now…

Ok I need an honest comparison between the 5984 and the tmc2208. How quiet?

@raykholo - can’t say, no TMCs to try (yet ;)) Alex will be able to say…

5984 is just a regular 1/32 driver, it’s not interpolating or anything like a TMC driver. (Although the 5984 adaptive decay mode is really nice.)

@Alex_Skoruppa a quick note that 21xx stealthchop has torque loss. According to you the 2208 stealthchop2 is better, I still have not tested. I use spreadcycle which is done by keeping the microstep config open and connecting cfg1 to gnd. Would you be able to try this mode on a SSS2100 and let me know your thoughts on that compared to the others?

I agree, all the feedback I have seen is that the Chinese 2100’s are horrible.

I put GDT-X9 heat sinks on my genuine SSS2100 and then have an 80mm fan blowing on them.

Which mainboard are you using in this picture? It looks nice and small.

@Kai_Behrends - It’s an Azteeg X5 Mini.

Sniped by Alex xD

Thank you both :slight_smile:
