Massdrop is selling a printer kit. Looking at the photos, I’m not all that impressed with the printed parts… https://www.massdrop.com/buy/diy-tech-shop-prusa-i3xl-3d-printer?mode=guest_open&utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=email&utm_term=Massdrop%20-%20Master&utm_campaign=Product%20Announcement%202014-04-09&utm_content=C
Wow, you aren’t kidding… those look like the sort of prints that people keep asking for help with on here because it’s unacceptable even for their test prints
Was almost interested…until I saw the postage.
@Mike_Miller Those parts look like the ones you got with your printer
As representing what that printer can do you would think they would show better samples… and the colour reminds me of a 1950’s plymouth.
And yeah… I’m that old !
If my prints looked like that I would be ashamed to take photos of them let alone attempt to sell them.
@William_Frick I should take some pics of the body. They’re actually pretty good. It was the extruder gears that looked sketchy…after a month of me running them without lube and the wrong bolt.
@Mike_Miller I only saw the gear pics … no intent to disparage.
Not offended. At least the parts were flat…s’more than I can say about MY prints!
Holy under extrusion Batman!
I like how they ignored my comment on the parts. And that hotend doesn’t look to great either.
No mention of controller but plenty of LCD pics, strange…
