Math and science would have been a bit easier for me to understand with 3D modeling. I most certainly would have been better in art class. Your thoughts?

True. Math - like any other subject - needs practical examples to be fully understood (and not so darn boring). I think a sort of mixture between traditional teaching and problem based learning (i.e. self learning - “I want to do this, how do I do it, what do I need to learn?”) could do the trick.
@Prins_Jonas_Hello great point and I totally agree with you!
Math objects are hard to print. Those two examples require very expensive machine to print successfully.
Well @Shachar_Weis we shall see what the future brings.
@Shachar_Weis Well, you need to know a fair bit of math just to print simpler objects too. Well, to design them, that is. Things like degrees or areas and volumes are very handy to know. Things a kid doesn’t know from the beginning, even though it is ‘simpler’ math.
@Shachar_Weis I find this version pretty easy to print in PLA: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:393289. However, working out how to connect them together is another story!
