@Mathias_Dietz I have ordered a Solidoodle Printer from the U.S. and am waiting for it to arrive, I live in the Philippines. I was originally looking to find a smart LCD to attach to it so I can print from a SD card and control some functions, but the GCodePrintr looks like it will eliminate my computer and the smart LCD altogether and let me control everything from the tablet. Is this correct or am I reading more capability into it.
Will it work with the Solidoodle and how difficult is it to connect. I should let you know that this is my first 3D Printer. But, after learning to use it, I plan to build a couple more and expand my Maker Space for kids here to include 3D Printing and CNC. Which brings me to my next question. Do you have something that will work with an Open Builds OX CNC Router?
@Edmund_Betlinski you are correct. Gcodeprintr can replace a LCD and control your printer instead of using a pc. You still need a pc for slicing the 3d model. Gcodeprintr is used by >500 users and I remember some had a solidoodle. You might want to ask in the gcodeprintr community if someone has experience with solidoodle. I don’ t have an app for CNC routers
@Mathias_Dietz
Would it also be possible to slice a object on your android smartphone? Is there any software for that?
@Johannes_Gehberger I don’t know of any slicer for android
