Meet the LittleRP, an affordable, open source 3D resin printer that lowers the barriers to entry for those looking to get into the exciting world of stereo-lithography printing.
The LittleRP has been designed from the ground up to simplify the resin printing process. Our focus on smaller high quality prints means complicated peeling mechanisms are not required. http://www.littlerp.com/

Hey Bob - I may have missed it - where do they call it “Open Source”? I see a lot of “Open”, but no Open Source Logo and nothing saying open source?
It is described as “Open Source” on their website.
What is really funny - they use the “Open Source Hardware Ring” to promote their product, presumably because they want to give the impression of being Open Source.
But Open Source Hardware ring is actually CC-BY-NC (despite it’s name) - so unless they have explicit permission - by using it to advertise their product they are violating the copyright.
So, not only misleading about Open Source, also not respecting other people’s copyright?
If it is not Open Source, don’t call it Open Source! It really is that simple!
The Kickstarter is clear what license is used, it is shown the video. Thank you for your pledge I will donate it to the OSHWA. The website is also clear which license is used, but I will change the wording from Open Source to Open as well, I have just been focusing on the KS lately. I hope to make the LittleRP OSHWA approved in the future, but for now making sure people get quality parts is more important.
Thanks Brad! To be clear, I am not demanding LittleRP to be Open Source - that is up to you, my point is that it is confusing to call it something it isn’t.
Any comment on your apparent misuse of the ironically titled Open Source Hardware Ring thing?
The ring is also CC-NC, I expect he will hear from you shortly I did talk with him in advance and get permission to use it for promotional purposes, mainly because it was a nice signet ring and available ring models are hard to come by.
Sure, if you have permission from the author there is no problem. Usually people put “used with permission” if permission is required, to make it clear to all.
I am not sure which “he” and “creator” are you referring to. The OSHWA created the “gear” logo and permit people to use it for Open Source Hardware projects, as defined by them. They provide guidelines here http://www.oshwa.org/open-source-quick-reference-guide/ . They have explicitly said that CC-BY-NC is not Open Source.
Still, the irony of the Open Source Ring not being Open Source but also being used for a non-Open Source product amused me
