So what is meshmixer actually good for? Ive played with it alot and dont see the use. I used to like being able to put support however I saw fit but last time I updated it looked like that was gone.

@Joe_Spanier , adding support is still there. Also the rotation optimization is really nice. Apparently they…are? were? adding slicing features, etc. I know I’ve also used it to cut parts that were too big to print in a single print and join them later.

Ok I guess I need to go back and play with it again. I could add support last time but only where meshmixer thought I needed it.

@Joe_Spanier I’ve always been able to add/remove supports on it. Except on the mac at work.

Wow! That’s pretty rad. There are a lot of tools like thicken that I’ve always thought should be more useful then they are sometimes. But it does keep getting better.
