Omkostninger 0 kr.

Nice work Henrik

That’s nice. But the thing is that the cable guides will wear out soon and the cable will fray, as they do on all the newer power windows. And as much trouble as it is to get that piece out, you’d do better to replace the whole thing…

Yea, I know that’s probably what will happen. But shouldn’t I use my CNC for such interesting work now I got it.

Actually they constructed the part I replaced to weak. It’ll be interesting to see if I can do better

Course you should use it. Plus playing is how I try to learn most everything. But in this case, it’s the labor involved getting to the part. Kind of like my ole vette in that once I got it up off the ground, it stayed off for about three weeks while I changed and swapped out nearly every part I could because they’re such a pain to get up and to work on as everything’s packed in so tight…

Actually it only takes about 15-20 minutes to get the lift system out our in. It’s the repair that takes a lot of time. Anyway I also learned more about how my car works.

In general I always try to repair stuff before I replace. That includes any house, car or household or IT issue. It’s better on the environment as well as on my bank account.

Btw, what is ‘ole vette’ ?
