Works with most PC case 120mm fans, 4mm thick center frame thickness and 44mm center frame diameter. I am using an old PC case fan that had a thermistor for speed control, replaced it with variable resistance dial to set fan to ‘quiet but effective’.
Will be release in time for Christmas prints, a few slight adjustments for stepper cable plugs on the motor will be done in the next 24 hours.
About that… I modeled it on steppers in CAD that did not have tall plugs but instead just wires coming out that lay flat, like my first prototype. Second prototype has tall plugs into the stepper and I had to heat gun a small area of the new duct and bend it to get proper alignment. I cheat on the CAD size/fit models of common parts that I make sometimes, dont add cables etc. It bit me back on this model, but it is not a lot of wasted time or filament, obsessing over perfection before taking action is far worse.
