Mini test version of my 3D rendition of M. C. Escher's Birds and Fishes.

Mini test version of my 3D rendition of M. C. Escher’s Birds and Fishes. Printed with some samples of ColorFabb nGen that I had. My final version will be in just two colors and each piece will be 3x the size here (where each piece is about 2" across).

I have to say that I’m really loving nGen! The lack of warpage is incredible and it prints so cleanly. I have now purchased two spools. It’s just a shame that it costs 4x what I pay for my Foxsmart PLA.

@Jerry_Guerrero

Geometry is great . Very good work .

jubes.

@John_Hyland What does “jubes” mean?

They look like soft pascells chewy.

@John_Hyland I have been thinking about making a mold and then casting them out of plaster. Maybe I should cast them out of gelatin instead!

cool

Thats a good name for a rock band 3DGlue10.

NGEN is damn good filament, although prone to moisture ingress making it brittle. I’ve been using it since release for mechanical applications and it does print very well at lower speeds (sub 60mm/s). I’ve found that at around 80mm/s, my standard print speed for my FB2020 CoreXY printers, that it doesn’t print as well. I had real issues with the Grey and I think I wasted most of the spool trying to get it to print properly.
