Misumi billed me full price for the extrusion I ordered despite the Reddit-150 coupon. Womp womp.
Call 'em, give them a chance to make it right.
I sent them an email. We’ll see. I probably upset them by accidentally ordering 4m pieces and then asking them to cut it for me.
Did you enter the code on the order form? If so, call them and they will make it right. If not, then it is a 50/50 chance that they’ll give it to you. I had a very pleasant experience when I spoke with them.
I saw an authorization for the full amount right after my order, then when the actual charge showed up it was $150 less than the authorization.
btw it’s not “Reddit-150”, the code is supposed to be “First150”, and it only applies for new accounts which are placing their very first order with them.
@Jeff_Karpinski , actually if you read their terms and conditions, the code was “First150”…the “–reddit” part only came from the rep posting over on reddit. It wasn’t a reddit-only thing, and the --reddit part was unneeded.
http://us.misumi-ec.com/news/topics/2014/01/misumi-first-150-promotion-terms-and-conditions.html
“Companies placing their first order online with MISUMI USA, Inc. and include promotion code First150 when placing their order will receive a $150.00 credit.”
Actually https://xkcd.com/1318/
I got an invoice for the full amount, but when they finally charged my card, I got the $150 free.
Same here @Carlton_Dodd , when you initially order they charge for the full amount and then adjust it later. Kind of like when gas stations used to auto charge your card for $100 even if you only got $5 worth of gas. About 3 days after my stuff was shipped is when the actual charges came through.
@Northamerica_Misumi can you help @Wes_Brown out here?
Thanks @Tim_Rastall I sent Misumi a an email to that address!
@Chapman_Baetzel , I didn’t start the actually circle!
@Wes_Brown Same thing happened to Russell at the makerspace. It got resolved relatively quickly, but it did bounce a rent check for him.
