Just tried printing something larger and found out the hard way that I only have 80mm, not 100mm. The zip ties holding the rods to the table hit the frame - the notches are not big enough (more laser registration errors?)
After carving out larger notches I gained only 8mm as the bolts holding the metal table are the next to hit.
So currently I’m limited to 88 x 100 mm (which when you factor the loop, I’m left with about 80 x 90mm)
I had mine set at 88mm on the Y axis and 95mm on the X before I did my upgrades. I’m really liking my 140mm x 100mm area now. I can increase both to about 200mm with minimal work, but I’m satisfied with this size for now.
and this for X axis, using the original (wood) bed:
Since I used the original bed, I got the 140mm in the X axis, and the full 100mm in the Y axis.
I may add a different bed later to increase this further (the rods I used have extra length for both axes).
It’s good to see I wasn’t the only one who had these problems… Now my Simple will just barely get to 100 mm in the X axis, but I have it set to 99 just in case.
