mounting LCD with V1 shield

Hi . Looking towards the bottom of the Rrdglcdadapter parge there are instructions for the V1 shiled mounting but I am a little confused on which extra pins need soldering to the smoothieboard and don’t want to destroy anyting buy adding the wrong ones

For the V1 shield the instructions say to cut the pcb track and solder on a conector on the underside but it does not indiate where this plug goes then. Also can power be drawn from the 5x pin beside the end stops and run from usb without an external 5v supply or voltage regulator?

hello,

extra pin on smoothieboard is the same for v1 and v2.

the connector is to plug on pin 0.28 & 0.27

for v1 you need a recom regulator on smoothieboard or a external 5v supply
