Mounting the motors took an hour that I’ll never get back. Why no wrench access holes?
Yep I had that problem with the original kossel printted parts. Finally I cut a Allen key to tighten that screws
If you want a printer that’s light on assembly time, go with the anet a8. I put it together in about 6 hours.
I already have 15 printers. This I’m building because I need a delta and using parts I have on hand.
@raykholo
Nice I was just giving my personal opinion. Not trying to be the end-all-be-all guy. I just really like the anet a8
Yeah, absolutely. Appreciate your opinion. I don’t think I could use a plastic frame machine though. I like to run fast. I really like my sheet metal ones (Wanhao Di3 being upgraded, the P3Steel is a workhorse, and I designed an aluminum folded frame machine some time back). I have a few MDF frames that are experimental. I just really like sheet metal I guess.
True. I’m just getting into 3d printing and I don’t use my machine heavily. Right now, I don’t use it at all because I’m waiting on a new nozzle since I punctured the old one while removing that little glob at the end of the nozzle. Word of caution: never use the clippers included with the printer for that [facepalm]. i might be smart, but, on occasion I can do some pretty moronic things.
@Vincent_Forsyth an advice, be really carefull with the electronics in your AnetA8, mostly with the heated bed, Its fast to assembly and really cheap, and I know some guys with burned Anet
Thanks. One thing I recommend, if you’re impatient and you’re waiting for pla to cool on the bed, just get one of those cheap 9" box fans and point it at the printer on high for a few minutes. Just dont do it during the print. I learned that the hard way, first time I had a warping issue with pla
You could always drill a hole, it shouldn’t compromise integrity too much. Or just open it up in Netfabb and boolean cut a hole.
The official kossel mini vertices definitely have allen wrench access grooves. Those don’t look official.
Vslot Mini Kossel variant from Ultibots.
Will definitely verify this if I build another delta.
I cent interest
