Movement...just not CONTROLLED movement.

Movement…just not CONTROLLED movement. When manually moving the actuators via the display, movement in the upward direction is pretty much like you’d expect (10mm seems like 10mm)…but movement in the OTHER direction seems nonexistant or quite a bit less than the expected unit. Further, when videoing an example, the All Home command caused things to crash in the opposite direction, then the very next sample showed everything homing sanely. Thoughts?

When it homes, it also doesn’t seem to do the back off and retouch?

Well, it doesn’t seem to want to move in the opposite direction (seems weaker that way), which might prevent it from backing off and retouching…

From the ‘I guess it just doesn’t matter’ department…I guess it just doesn’t matter! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JRswBaMY_8U

Did you manage to get it working? What was the cause? I was stumped, so I didn’t know what to tell you.

Adding in a temp sensor (that’ll be mounted to the extruder) fixed on error condition, but I don’t think it was related to the movement issues. Who knows. We’re not exactly dealing with UL listed equipment. While restringing one axis,I found that moving the motor would cause the LEDs to light on the RUMBA.

The real envelope hasn’t been measured or dialed in yet, but it’s pretty close. And the movement controls still only do so in one direction, but I’m going to overlook that in light of the greater wins.
