Mundane but still kinda cool. We’ve run out of clips in the house again – for bread bags, sugar bags, crisp packets, and all sorts of packets in the kitchen…
…so print some more. These look great and work really well.

PLA, I assume?
Yes. I think you need the stiffness of PLA to make this clip work well.
Yeah, I figured ABS would be too compliant. I’ve actually started tinkering around with PLA springs, and have been pretty pleased with the results so far.
Can’t tell if your print actually warping or that’s just shadow through thick glass…
It’s just shadow through thick glass. You can see they’re not warped in the other picture (of them in my hand) as most of those are shiny side up (i.e. upside-down when compared to their print orientation).
@Patrick_Ryan Here’s a fun demonstration of a PLA spring in operation:
What I learned from printing the above is that the spring does gradually give way if kept compressed – so the ghost’s wobbleability reduces over time and you eventually have to give it a stretch to get things working again (at least for ColorFabb GLOWFILL).
@Mark_Wheadon Fun! Here’s one I designed, not as a “spring” as such, but springiness is definitely key:
