My back to working full of awesomeness printrbot simple metal churned out this fella. Now how do I make the joint move again?
I broke it trying when I printed mine… I also want to know. Any needed infill settings?
You have a layer shift in your print so you still having a mechanical issue. That shift will keep some/all of the joints from moving.
In your slicing software, try increasing the filament diameter to 0.1 mm more than the measured diameter. If your filament is 1.72 mm try putting in a filament diameter value of 1.82mm. This will cause the filament to under extrude slightly. 0.1mm is a starting point and should get most of the joints to work.
I need to test your tip, @Josh_Ajima . I had the same problem.
@Josh_Ajima , how does one tell that there is layer shifting?
@Dat_Chu The bottom of the feet should be flat. See that step? Shouldn’t be there you can see the infill.
Oh, that’s in the model. Part of the raft I believe. Cura shows those parts in the model too.
