My daughter and I loved the 3D Print show.

Show highlights for us were the BigRep printing massive vase like table bases, Zinomat’s magnetic print base*, Shapeways saying they’re adding a ‘Print anyway’ option for those that want to trial intricate models that are borderline with their standard checks, mcor technologies colour paper printing, Anarkik 3D Design with their force feedback enabled design software and 3D gamers mouse, Verbatim’s PRIMALLOY flexible filament and a good chat with +Ian Lewis from the Printrbot UK team. The ginger biscuit from Ultimaker and the art on show were also much appreciated.

Loving its strong colours, I couldn’t resist asking BCN3D if I could buy this dual colour salamander print when it was finished. “Sure, will you be here until 6?” came the reply. A great lunch in Moo Cantina ensured we were. It finished only minutes before the 18:00 floor power down. It’s a nice reminder of my day with my daughter, love that she’s been inspired, is itching to get the Play calibrated and printing.
