My first 3D printer arrived today. It’s printing a sample model that came with it. A cat, apparently. And looks like it’s going to consume all the material that came with the printer. I’ve got more ordered. Should be here Thursday.
It’s a Monoprice Select Mini 3D printer model #15365

First 3D print progress. All I know is that it’s a cat. It’s a sample model file that came with the printer on an SD card.
Question: What’s the proper way to remove a printed object from the surface? This one snapped off pretty easily, but the flat base is still there and I can’t get it off. Am I supposed to remove that large square of masking tape after every print?
@Chris_Harpner_CSharp I have a 3d printer spatula to remove prints. I found the best way is to heat the bed up, then push the spatula underneath the print to pry it off. I also stopped using tape and opted for a 3d printer bed surface. It stands up to the prying away better than the tape.
Heated up the bed and used the spatula. Got it removed. Thanks again!
