My first ABS print. Any ideas why it’s doing this? Printed on Wanhao duplicator i3, temp 230c, bed 110, 0.3 resolution at 30 mm/s
Cool, I’m printing the DiiiCooler now at 30 with a hotter bed… I also had some delamination issues with the print in the picture.
Oh hey a micro quad plate
@Francis_Lee my son will be
Insufficient cooling makes it sound like you need fans…I thought you never used fans with ABS.
If the walls are pulling in, maybe under extrusion somehow?
Wait, a DiiiCooler with ABS? You should not be using any cooler with ABS. Do yourself a favor and just give up on ABS and switch to something better unless you absolutely are doing it for the vapor smoothing. There is PETG, MG Raptor PLA (which is stronger than ABS) and many other new choices. ABS needs a very hot bed, hot chamber (box around the printer) and no cooling fan.
Just increase the minimum time per layer. The perimeter is too small and it just doesn’t retain its shape for the next layer.
