My first print after assembled kit from http://nwreprap.com, prusa mendel.
I didn’t have good ruler for calibration, I hope after recalibrating it will be straight. Also do I need fan on side of extruder?
a ruler to calibrate should come included.
IMO a ruler is a terrible way to calibrate - you need a pair of digital calipers.

A digital caliper is an indispensable tool in the RepRap world. If you are printing PLA, you absolutely want good cooling both on the top of the hotend and on the object being printer.
Thank you, I’ll buy fan and digital caliper (I had analog one with 0.1 scale minimum) and let know on this post how it goes.
@Guy_Sheffer The colloquial is “a pair of calipers”, but I really mean just a single measuring tool.
Looking at the skirt, you may have a belt tightening issue…
I aligned and got much straight cube, had issue with starting it on bed - some plastic build up on hotend. However it broke off yesterday, waiting for replacement.
