My first stab at dry brushing the high spots on this object.

My first stab at dry brushing the high spots on this object. ( http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:29114 ). Plastic is glow in the dark white, with a black matte base coat then grey and white top dry brush to highlight the celtic patterns. I plan to wet sand the skull when the paint cures to get the high spots so the glow plastic can shine through. Could look pretty cool and save the kinda shitty dry brushing. Anyone have some good painting technique videos?

Looks great. Love the photo too.

Thanks!.. I have been having a blast printing objects, but, lately I have been wanting to personalize them. Panting them seemed like the natural progression.

Beautiful

Awesome print but the paint is what makes it, v-nice.

Nice. Adam savage has a few good weathering techniques. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXzxEqdvuIE

I would have given the skull a vapor treatment before painting…

@Mano_Biletsky_Open_M I admit to being a bit cautious on doing it. More the danger factor than the melting it part. Not saying your wrong in your advice as I think your correct it would have smoothed it out and ton. TLDR; I am kinda chicken shit to do it, yet…
