My god this ender4 is the biggest piece of garbage? Just got in the new hot end and motherboard, now it doesn’t know it has a z end stop? Switch checks out, wire checks out. When I wire it to open on contact, it homes xy runs up, stepper skips a few times while dragging the nozzle on the build plate then acts like everything is fine, when I wire it to close on contact, it homes xy then just keeps going up until I kill power? Build plate is screwed down tight? This is how they loaded factory firmware? By the way, the last time I printed on it, it went up in flames? My bad for not getting the feet right? I just got in a load of parts for my flsun mini? Ender is getting shelved, maybe I can make a movable shelve out of it
What?
You changed the motherboard. The motherboard is its brain. The motherboard must be flashed with the correct firmware and firmware settings for the printer. That is how things go. If you bought a motherboard from the maker of the ender4, ask them if the board was flashed with the firmware before they sent it. If this is a kit and you had to assemble it yourself, then you should be aware that the endstop switches tend to have 3 places for a wire to go and you need to connect the wires to the correct spots on both the endstop switch and the motherboard.
